In 1989, Wendy moved to South Carolina with Donald E. Smith (deceased). They were later married in Lake Wylie, SC.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gina Carrier of Springfield, VT and Jessica Boyd of Belmont, NC, her grandchildren, Gabriel, Alex, Jasmine Cornellier, Deven Carrier, Jonathan, Nicholas, Riley, Lucas Crutchfield and Cameran Boyd, as well as her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Nicholas, Quinton Hewitt, Adailyn Long, Cleo Crutchfield, Timothy, Lincoln, Chandler, Oliver and Penelope Crutchfield. Wendy loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, being near the water, especially the ocean, and crocheting while listening to music. She enjoyed working at a gift shop on the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier for years.

The family will organize a Celebration of Life in the Spring to enable long-distance family the time to plan to be present.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
