Verda Raymond passed away on January 18, 2026, at the Jack Byrnes Center in Lebanon, NH. Verda was born on December 15, 1937, in Mooers, NY, the daughter of Maurice Monette and Marie (Golden). She spent many years working as a nurses aid in various nursing homes.

In 1957, she married Alcide Raymond who predeceased her. She is survived by her children, Dean Raymond and his wife, Lori, Robert Raymond, Theresa Lombard and her husband, Rich, James Raymond, Gene Raymond, Jack Raymond, Nancy Voisine and her husband, Mark, and Steve Raymond. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alcide, sisters, Shirley, Theresa, and Dorothy, and parents, Maurice and Marie.

Verda enjoyed country music, knitting, and reading.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church, Cherry Hill, Bellows Falls, VT. Burial will follow at a later date in South Hadley Mass.
