Ronald Kern of Springfield formally of Bellows Falls, VT passed away on June 22, 2026, at the Bay State Medical Center. Ron was born in Kingston, PA on August 2, 1949, the son of Fredrick Kern and Anna Baszweski Kern who predeceased him.

Ron attended high school at Wyoming Valley West and also attended community college in Hawaii.

Ron served his Country in the US NAVY and was a member of the American Legion. Ron moved to Vermont in the mid 1970’s and started Kern Electric in Bellows Falls.

He was a fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, he also enjoyed Golf and loved to travel.

Ron was predeceased by a twin brother ,Gregory Kern and his parents.

Ron is survived by two brothers, Fred Kern living of Sweet Valley, PA and Robert Kern and wife, Carolyn Kern of Harveys Lake, PA. He is also survived by niece, Cindy Kern living of Trucksville, PA; niece, Mallory Kern living in Philadelphia, PA; and nephew ,Jared Kern living in Philadelphia, PA.

A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 AM at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT. Burial will follow at the Rockingham Meeting House Cemetery.
