Roland Edward Caskin Jr, 87, of Walpole, NH died October 29, 2025, at his home. He was born July 20, 1938, in Castine, Maine, the son of Roland and Gertrude (Gallagher) Caskin. He attended school in Bellows Falls, Vermont and Boston, Massachusetts and then joined the United States Army.

He is survived by his four children, Jody, Kenny, Tracy, Kelly, their spouses; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife of fifty years Maureen, his grandson, Matthew and two son-in-laws.

“Rollie” was happiest downhill skiing, tying flies to fly fish with, working in his bountiful vegetable gardens, pruning his various trees in his orchard, telling old stories of Bellows Falls and his friends, a drive through Vermont with his wife, the hunt for a perfect Christmas tree and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Walpole, NH.
