Phillip E. Reeve
On March 28, 2025, Phillip E. Reeve passed away peacefully at home. Phil was born in New Britain, CT on October 27, 1940, to Edward and Patricia Reeve. Phil graduated from New Britain High School in 1959. Phil was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran 1960-1968.
On May 12,1962, Phil married the love of his life Carol Van Stratum, they were married 62 years. They lived in Southington, CT until 1981 when they moved to Vermont. Phil along with his wife owned and operated the Village Mobile in Bellows Falls, until September 1994. Phil then went on to drive school bus for WNESU and also worked for the BFPD as a Parking Enforcement Officer.
Phil was a member of the American Legion Post #37 and was Post Commander 2007-2009. Phil was also a member of the color guard for Post #37 and could be seen in several of the parades and honoring Veterans that had passed on.
Phil is survived by his sons, Christopher (Kelly) Reeve, Daniel (Kim) Reeve, grandsons, Ethan (Stacey) Reeve, Kyle (Katie) Reeve, Mike (Brittany) Shepard , granddaughter, Lauren (Marcus) Eden, and his great-grandchildren, Reagan, Clark, Beckham, Vera Jean, Lincoln and Brinley.
Phil was predeceased by his wife, Carol, his parents, Edward and Patricia Reeve, his in-laws, William and Irma Van Stratum and a nephew, Mark.
There will be a graveside service at Saxtons River Cemetery June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM for both Carol and Phil.
Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT is assisting the family with arrangements.
