Marlene P. Wade

Marlene P. Wade of River Street in Alstead passed away on November 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Marlene was born on October 11, 1933, in Ludlow, Vermont the daughter of Edward and Beatrice (Hart) Proulx. Marlene graduated from Black River High School in 1951. She worked as a supervisor at Mountain Paper Products. She married LeRoy Wade who predeceased her in 2007. Marlene was a member of the Third Congregational Church of Alstead.
Marlene is survived by her son, Allen (Sherri), and daughters, Beatrice Porter, Debra (Michael) Stoodley, and Patti (William) Kemp. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Frederick and grandson,Michael.
A Graveside service will take place Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Alstead.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
