Lydia D. Benson was born on October 6, 1954, in Bellows Falls. She passed away peacefully February 7, 2025, at the Sterling House. She was 70.

Lydia worked at the paper factory and the Bow Factory and was known for her baking, sewing, gardening and much more.

She leaves behind a daughter, Tonia L. Welch of Strafford, VT, and three grandchildren, Tyler J. Haley of Springfield, VT, Alysha R. Devoe of Rutland, VT, and Wyatt M. Welch of Strafford, VT. She is also survived by four great-granddaughters, Elizabeth, Amaya, Wynter, and Avery.

There will be a graveside service held on June 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Saxtons River Cemetery.
