Linda L. Keniston

December 21, 1944 - February 23, 2025

Linda L. Keniston, 80, of 16 Short Lane, Walpole, NH passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning (02/23/25).

Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a loyal friend to many. She especially cherished her role as a grandmother – the best there was.

Born on December 21, 1944, in Bellows Falls, VT Linda was the daughter of Carl and Marion (Fair) Blake. She attended school in Bellows Falls and worked at numerous restaurants throughout the area. In 1960, she began a lifelong courtship with the love of her life, David L. Keniston (1940–2012) of Saxtons River, VT. They married in 1965 at the Episcopalian Church in Bellows Falls, VT and shared more than 50 years together.

Linda is survived by her son, Shawn; her daughter, Heather Keniston Brady, and son-in-law, Tom Brady; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Ben and Elissa Brady.

She cherished time with her family and friends, often spending hours on the phone offering support and comfort through life’s challenges. She especially loved the holidays, most notably Christmas, when she and David would spend the entire year searching for the perfect cards and thoughtful gifts. Linda adored birds, particularly hummingbirds, and cared for them year-round. She also had a deep love for her Yorkie Terrier, Molly. Above all, her family was everything to her.

Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A small graveside service will be arranged by the family later this spring.

In lieu of flowers, Linda’s wish was for her family and friends to stay close and support one another. For those who wish to make a donation, Linda and David’s favorite charity was Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
