Linda Claire Barnaby (O’Leary) passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Plymouth, MA.

Linda was born in Bellows Falls, VT, mother, Alice O’Leary (Bellows), father, James O’Leary. She spent most of her childhood in Bellows Falls, VT, moved to Reading, MA where she graduated high school and later moved to Plymouth, MA with her husband, Daniel “Frank” “Dino” Barnaby.

Linda was a descendent of Col. Benjamin Bellows of Walpole, NH, after whom the Village of Bellows Falls was named.

She started working at Christy’s (now 7-11) at the intersection of Head of the Bay Road and Cranberry Highway in Wareham, MA in 1988 where she later became and remained the Franchise Owner until December 2016.

She is survived by her four children; Tracy Davis (Middleboro,MA), James Barnaby (Plymouth, MA), Chad Barnaby (Wareham, MA), and Keith Barnaby (Wareham, MA), and their 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was the youngest of four siblings survived by; James N. (Butch)O’Leary. Linda was predeceased by; her husband of 53 years, Daniel Barnaby and her siblings: Donald Rees, and Barbra Kenyon.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 21, 2023, 4:00-7:00 PM at the Rosebrook Event Center TownePlace Suites by Marriott, 50 Rosebrook Pl, Wareham, MA 02571. Visitation will be Friday, August 25, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Bellows Falls, VT.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
