Kenneth Clay Unwin Sr

April 15, 1958 - January 26, 2023

Kenneth Clay Unwin Sr., 64, passed unexpectedly Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his residence in Athens, VT where he lived for many years with his life partner, Pamela Amidon, 66. He was born April 15, 1958, in Brattleboro, VT to the late Anna Belle Moffitt and the late Carrol Dennis Unwin. 

Kenneth worked for many years as a logger retiring from Independent Partners of Williamsville, VT. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his family and beloved pets dog, Duke and cat, Buddy along with many others throughout his life.

Kenneth was always humble and kind, always willing to lend a hand in any way he could. He was a friend to many and all loved him. He will be dearly missed.

Besides his lifelong partner, Pamela Amidon, he is survived by his children son, Kenneth Clay Unwin Jr., 47, and his wife, Shannon Unwin of Wilmington, VT, son, Jesse Earl Unwin, 39, of Athens VT, daughter, Krystal Ann Unwin, 37, of Athens, VT, and daughter, Sarah Jean Euber, 35, of Dummerston, VT along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kenneth is also survived by his lifelong best friend, James Johnson and his wife, Susan Johnson of Coventry, VT. He leaves behind three sisters, Carol Williams, 67, of Brookfield, MA, Pauline Hubbard, 65, of Ware MA, and Diane King, 62, of Brattleboro VT along with many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

There with be a memorial to celebrate Kenneth’s life on Saturday, March 18 from 4:00-5:00 PM at the Athens Community Christian Church for any who would like to pay their respects for Kenneth.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.

David Walker, of Alstead, NH, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2022. David was born on September 1, 1946, in Holyoke, MA to David Walker and Irene (Lynch) Walker. He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine and was a Purple Heart veteran. David loved the natural world and was interested in all manner of life in the plant and animal kingdom. He loved dogs, dredging and panning for gold in Alaska and he put over 500,000 miles on his truck exploring the country highways and byways. He could also spin a great yarn.

David leaves three sisters, Linda, Candace and Cheryl, living in San Diego; one brother, Mark, Holyoke.

A graveside service will take place in the family lot on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery in South Hadley, MA.  

Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster St, Bellows Falls, VT has been entrusted with arrangements.
