Although we saw each other infrequently over the years since we both graduated from Bellows Falls High School in 1959, Dag and I did keep in touch. While watching Red Sox vs Yankees telecasts, I would call him to unsurprisingly learn that he was watching the same game. We played sports together through elementary school, Jr. High and High School and he never gave less than his maximum effort.
Dag, I will remember you with a smile on my face and I'm so glad we were life-long friends. Tell Mickey that I still think Ted was the better hitter. RIP!

Dag and I were friends for the last fifty years. We traveled together on multiple trips. I always knew what was happening in my beloved North Walpole because Dag would be on the phone letting me know.

Until recently, Dag would come to Florida. He would always stay with Linda and myself. He would say he was our guest and we would always reply that he was family.

One of Dag,s favorite stories is when he and I would go into the grocery store: he in all Yankee attire and me with my Red Sox hat. Countless people would stop and ask if we were friends. Our answer was "always"!

Dag, please always remember " good pitching will always stop good hitting"!

I will miss you, my friend.

It was a pleasure to know “Dag” all these years. Really enjoyed our conversations about the Fire service and also baseball. He was a true Yankee Fan & I was a true Red Sox Fan but we never got in a fight over our teams.
Rest In Peace My Friend!! I know you will still be watching and cheering for those Yankees in heaven
