Janice B. Manning, 87, passed away peacefully Friday, June 12, 2026, in the care of Springfield Nursing Home. Janice was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on September 5, 1938, she grew up in Littleton, NH.

She helped her family run the Beal House Inn and graduated from Littleton High School. Janice would attend Keene State College and received her degree in Home Economics. She worked in Bellows Falls Middle and Central Schools as a Home Economics teacher, she also worked at J.C. Penny’s in Brattleboro.

Janice was active in Women’s Club; Eastern Star; and Women’s fellowship at the United Church.

Janice enjoyed many hobbies including cooking (a great baker -sticky buns favorite) painting, ceramics, art she also enjoyed family gatherings and loved to celebrate birthdays.

Janice married Wayne B. Manning of Bellows Falls 64 years ago on June 23, 1962, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Marsha Austin and her husband, Jim Austin, son, Wayne E. Manning and his wife, Norma (Safford) Manning. Her grandchildren: Brendon Austin and wife, Jessica, Jenna Brown and husband, Codey, Kayden Manning, Helen Manning, Ethan Manning and Abigail Manning. Her great-grandchildren: Wyatt Austin, Fletcher Austin, Leah Brown. She is also survived by sisters, Patty Harshbarger of FL and Nancy Bush of NM. Janice was predeceased by brothers, Justus Beal and Allen Beal of FL, sister, Iris Beal of FL.

There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the United Church on School Street in Bellows Falls, VT. Burial will follow at the Rockingham Meeting House Cemetery.
