Horace A. Bezanson

-

Horace A. Bezanson, born November 20, 1934, in Mont Vernon, New Hampshire to George Elwood Bezanson and Bernice Harriet Salisbury. Horace had happy memories of time spent at his grandparents’ farm in Mont Vernon among his large extended family. His passion in life was milking cows, but during his work life he also drove truck, bought and sold cows, and owned several businesses, including Route 5 Citgo in Bellows Falls, Vermont. As a young man, he enjoyed taking flying lessons, playing baseball, and fishing. He always enjoyed the challenge of learning how things worked and fixing anything mechanical. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his family, and he enjoyed the opportunity to travel around the west when his daughter’s family was living there.

Horace was predeceased by his parents, his brother, George Bezanson, and sister, Clora Hunter. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Brooks Bezanson of Lebanon, NH; his daughter, Marcia Calloway (Colin) of Norwich, Vermont; his daughter, Cathy Farman (Steve) of Ira, Vermont; grandson, Dr. Blake Farman (Ann Clifton) of Louisiana; grandson, Dr. Graeme Calloway (Lauren Ayers) of Cambridge, Massachusetts; and granddaughter, Catherine Megan Calloway Maldjian (Sean) of Jersey City, New
Jersey; his sisters, Gladys Richards, Helen Hoyt, and Rose Norcross, and many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will take place at a later date to be announced.
