Colby Lynn Hansen, 40, of Bellows Falls, Vermont passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Colby was born on April 8, 1984, in Brattleboro, Vermont to the parents of Alfred Hansen Jr. and Doreen (Hamilton) Hansen.

Colby grew up in Charlestown, New Hampshire where she attended primary and middle school. Colby graduated in 2003 from Fall Mountain Regional High School.

She worked in retail for a few years. She was very passionate about art, she loved to draw and paint, however, most of all she loved to draw and paint for others. Colby had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back. She wrote beautiful poetry. She most of all had a very special bond with her dog, Skout. They were best friends.

Colby struggled with mental health for a very long time. If you struggle with mental health, please don’t hesitate to ask for help and also please don’t take advantage of someone with mental health.

Colby is survived by her mother, Doreen Hansen of Bellows Falls, Vermont, her sister, Jillian Woodard and brother-in-law and niece, Alizabeth all of Bellows Falls Vermont. She is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is predeceased by her father, Alfred Hansen Jr. Her grandparents on both sides of the family and by uncles and her aunts.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Moose Lodge in Bellows Falls, Vermont on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM. There will be a private graveside service in the spring.
