Sharon Marie Hennessey, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on January 21, 2022, at a South Carolina hospital after a brief illness. She was 73 years old.

Sharon was born in Springfield, VT to Edward and Elizabeth (Gallagher) Lipnicki on March 8, 1948. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1966 and went on to graduate cosmetology school in Burlington, VT, after which she returned to Springfield where she worked for several years as a licensed hairdresser.

Sharon married James Hennessey in 1971 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield, VT where she remained a faithful parishioner for many years. She went on to raise her family in her childhood home on Union Street. After her three children left the house, she went on to start her own hair salon, Mirror Reflections, which she managed for almost 10 years until retiring and relocating to the Carolinas in 2004. Sharon and Jim celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2021.

An exceptional self-taught cook and baker, Sharon was most “at-home” in her kitchen.  She was well known for her ability to provide hearty meals and award-winning desserts. Her robust Sunday afternoon family meals were not to be missed. She will be remembered for her warm hospitality and for demonstrating her love for friends and family by preparing their favorite dishes for them.

Sharon’s six grandchildren, John William, Sarah Elizabeth, Mackenzie Marie, Declan Patrick, Finnegan James, and Mary Grace (Molly) Hennessey were the focus of her later years.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Lipnicki and her brother, John Edward (Johnny) Lipnicki.
