Stephen “Stevie” Saunders, 69, of Saxtons River, Vermont passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2026, at the Springfield Hospital. He was born April 6, 1957, the son of Patricia Saunders Kenyon of Saxtons River, Vermont and the late Donald Saunders of Waldoboro, Maine.

Stevie worked in the farming industry and also in the concrete industry with his nephews, Chase and Riley Saunders. He especially loved playing his guitar with his sister, Janie creating cherished memories through their shared love of music.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Saunders Kenyon; his son, Jared Saunders of Denver, Colorado, his sister, Janie Hisler of Waldoboro Maine; his significant other, Sawyer Trevorrow of Saxtons River, Vermont and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Stevie was predeceased by his sister, Amy Saunders, and his brother, Michael Saunders.

Stevie will be remembered fondly by his family and all who knew him.

A Graveside service will take place at the Saxtons River Cemetery on November 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harold Noyes officiating.

Immediately following there will be a reception for family and friends at the Bartonsville Grange.
