Kenneth “Doc” Goyette
Kenneth “Doc” Goyette, 80, passed away at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH, on June 15, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Burlington, VT, on December 6, 1945, Kenneth was nicknamed “Reggie” at birth by his biological mother, Dorothy Brown. He was adopted and raised by Clarence and Clare Goyette, growing up in Saxtons River, VT, where he raised his family in a historic 1700s home.
Doc worked as a house painter in his younger years and later moved to Springfield, VT. Widely known as “Doc,” he recently faced a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer diagnosed in June 2025. He spent his final week in rehab, fighting hard to get stronger so he could return home.
Doc was married to Judith “Judy” Goyette from 1985 until her passing in 2016. Doc loved his children, grandchildren, and family deeply. Outside of family life, his passion was rock ‘n’ roll, especially his favorite band, The Rolling Stones. He played guitar near Boston and in Vermont with the Main Street Rockers, always telling people to look up his music on YouTube. He also loved fishing and knowing his Abenaki heritage.
