Rachael L. James of Bellows Falls, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her home on Westminster Street. She was born on November 10, 1958, in Springfield, VT the daughter of Frank and Margarite (DeRosia) Barcomb. She graduated from the Bellows Falls School system and attended college. She assisted for many years in the schools as a classroom aide. Rachael loved animals and crochet blankets that she gave to people who needed them.

In 1984, she married Walter James III who has predeceased her.

She is survived by her loving son, Troy James of Bellows Falls and her mother, Margarite Barcomb and a sister, Kathy Fisher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Rachael was predeceased by her husband and her father, Frank Barcomb.

Visitation will be held June 5, 2026, from 1:00 until 1:45 when a brief service will be held at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT. Burial will follow at Saxtons River Cemetery.
