Nancy P. Parsons, 83, of Charlestown, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Sullivan County Home in Unity, NH. Nancy was born on June 19, 1942, in Arlington, MA, the daughter of J. Malcolm Sr. and Alice (McNichol) Potter.

Her early years were spent in Arlington later coming to Bellows Falls, VT where she attended St. Charles School and graduated from Bellows Falls High School. From there she went on to graduate from Cardinal Cushing College with a degree in education. Nancy began her teaching career as a 3rd grade teacher in Charlestown and spent most of her thirty years of teaching in the Charlestown Schools. She finished her career as the Title 1 Project Manager in the Fall Mountain School District. Nancy had a lifelong passion and commitment to education and teaching.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Ernest Parsons, whom she married on June 19, 1965, in Rockingham, VT. Nancy and Ernie spent their entire marriage as residents of Charlestown, NH. Nancy is also survived by her two daughters, Mary Franck, and her husband, Karl of Litchfield, NH and Amy Parsons and her wife, Colleen Flynn of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by her brother, Malcolm Potter, and his wife, Dianne, of Bellows Falls, VT. Nancy is further survived by her grandchildren, Elizabeth Franck, Connor Franck, and Matthew Franck, all of Litchfield, NH, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Nancy enjoyed traveling with Ernie, particularly trips to the beaches of Maine and taking afternoon “Sunday” drives. Nancy was an avid reader and shared her love of reading with her family and friends and was a dedicated book club member. Nancy was an active and involved member of her community, a member of the Fall Mountain Educational Endowment Association and a member of the St. Catherines’ Ladies Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Calling hours will be on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, VT. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Charlestown, NH. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Westminster, VT.
