Joanne M. Muzzey (Hardy)

April 10, 1948 - July 9, 2025

Joanne M. Muzzey (Hardy), 77, of 63 Valley Street, died in her sleep early Tuesday morning, July 9, 2025, at Springfield Center for Living and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Brattleboro on April 10, 1948. Daughter of Reuben D. Hardy Sr. and Rose Marie Wheeler. She grew up in Brattleboro and lived in Bellows Falls, Winchester, Alstead before becoming a resident at Springfield Center of Living.

She worked for several area retailers including Danny’s Discount, and MPB in Keene, NH. She retired from MPB in the early 1990’s, where she doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved knitting and crocheting outfits and blankets for them.

Survivors include her daughters, Naomi Webber, Annalee Webber and husband, Mark Fairbrother, both of Bellows Falls, Marjorie Cobb and husband, Michael of Springfield, one son, Roger Webber and wife, Pauline of Williamsville, two sisters, Marion Wilbur and husband “Tuffy” of Gilford, NH, Alice Bennett of Meriden, CT, two brothers, Richard Dunham and wife, Kathy of Lovell, ME and Daniel Dunham of Winchester, NH. She had 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husbands, Duane Muzzey and Roger Webber Sr., one grandchild, Roger Osborne, and one brother, Reuben D. Hardy.

There will be graveside service held at the family plot in the Westport Cemetery on the Westport Village Road, Swanzey, NH on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM. The Celebration of Life reception will follow burial at her niece’s, Deanne Hallowell and husband, Clyde residence in Winchester, NH.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
