Rodney (Rod, Stoney) Stone, 72, of Atkinson Street in Bellows Falls passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his sons, daughter, and a dear neighbor friend on Monday, June 2, 2025. Rodney was born in Bellows Falls, VT on November 9, 1952, the son of the late Virginia (Dopp) and Kenneth Stone.

Rodney is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Sarah) Hayes of Bellows Falls, Todd Hayes of Bellows Falls, and Christopher Hayes of Ashland, NH; daughter, Michelle (Clem) Powers of Fairlee, VT, and grandchildren, Matthew, Grace, Brody, and Amilya Hayes, Sam and Jacob Kamel, and Autumn Powers.

Rodney is also survived by his brothers, Ashley (Patty) Stone of Orlando, FL, and Kenneth Stone, Jr., of Claremont, NH; sisters, Deborah Perkins of Claremont, NH, Dawn Granger of Jefferson, GA, and Fawn Wisneski of Jacksonville, FL, and many nieces and nephews.

Rodney was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Moul) Stone; two brothers, Larry Stone and Reginald Stone, and stepmother, Gloria Stone.

Rodney attended school at Hartford High School. He served in the United Sates Navy from 1969-1972. Rodney worked in the autobody business for many years, as well as in property management.

Rodney was often seen working on properties around town, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and he was famous for his spectacular Christmas decoration and light displays at his home.

Calling hours will take place on June 13, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
