Nathanael Paul MacLean

October 25, 1982 - July 8, 2023

Nathanael Paul MacLean, retired USMC veteran, passed away at age 40 on July 8, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1982, in Boston, Massachusetts to Francine and Michael MacLean. Nathanael married Rosemary on January 12, 2018.

Nathanael served in Bravo Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division serving one tour in Djibouti and two tours in Iraq earning a purple heart for wounds he received in action. He would gladly lay down his life for any of his Marine brothers.

Nathanael had a huge heart. He loved his family, friends, and country ferociously. Everything he did was done with significant passion. He enjoyed life and loved having fun, playing, and eating good food with people he loved deeply. He loved to tell stories and his vivacious laugh would make everyone present smile from ear to ear.

He had a heart for those who were downhearted, homeless and the poor. He never shied away from any task no matter the difficulty. He was determined to carry it out to the end no matter how much it cost him. Nathanael is survived by his wife, Rosemary MacLean, and his two children, Chase MacLean and Thomas MacLean, his parents, Michael and Francine MacLean, his sister, Cindy Davis and his brother, Timothy MacLean. He was preceded by his brother, Michael MacLean.

There will be a memorial service held at LIFE Fellowship at 85-Wheeler Rand Rd, Charlestown, NH 03603 on August 6, 2023, at 3:00 PM.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
