Stuart C. Archambault

August 25, 1944 - July 22, 2023

Stuart C. Archambault, 78, passed away Saturday morning July 22, 2023. Stuart was born August 25, 1944, to the late Carlton Archambault and Frances C. Archambault Dutchburn in Montgomery, VT where he grew up working on his family farm. Upon graduating Enosburg High School in 1963, Stuart joined the US Army where he studied Engineering. When he got out of the Army Stuart trained to be a VT State Game Warden, a position he proudly held for 36 years. After retiring in 2003, Stuart still spent most days outdoors, caretaking, fishing, hunting, boating, and revitalizing the farm where he grew up in Montgomery.  

Stuart is survived by his wife, Ellen W. Archambault, and son, Jason, wife, Janice Archambault, as well as granddaughters, Caitlin and Caylee Archambault. He is also survived by a brother, Lee R. Longe, and his wife, Glenda, as well as a brother-in-law, Douglas A. Wright.

Stuart is predeceased by his brothers, Bruce and Wayne Archambault.

Graveside Services and a Celebration of Life will be held Aug. 12, 2023, at the Houghtonville Cemetery in Grafton, VT at 11:00 casual attire. A Reception will follow at the Grafton Chapel. For those who wish to make contributions in his memory they can be made to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, Attn: Conservation Camp Scholarships, 1 National Dr, Davis 2 Montpelier, VT 05620, Londonderry Rescue Squad or to the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT.
